This year's African American History Academic Challenge (formerly the African American History Challenge Bowl) will be held on Saturday, April 6th, beginning at 9:00am in the Auditorium at the Doyle Administration Building. This is an educational African American history competition in a quiz show format, between teams of Madison middle school students and is produced by 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc.
The winning MMSD team will advance to Regional Competition involving teams from the Verona Area School District and the McFarland Area School District. The Regional Competition will be held on Friday, April 12th at 1:00pm, in the Assembly Chambers of the Wisconsin State Capitol Building. The Winning teams of the Regional Junior and Senior Divisions will advance to the National Competition taking place June 13, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. Last year, the team from Spring Harbor Middle School won the National Championship, making MMSD back-to-back National Champions!
