Discover the Latest 2024 Referenda Updates, Upcoming Public Input Sessions

December brought great momentum to our referendum projects! The first construction bid package was issued, and bidding is underway for work at Black Hawk, Gompers, Sherman, and Shabazz, along with foundational site improvements across multiple locations. We also kicked off project planning with principals at Sennett Middle, Cherokee Heights Middle, Orchard Ridge Elementary and Akira Toki Middle, helping ensure school leaders are closely connected to the exciting changes ahead.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the phase one schools, Sherman Middle School/Shabazz City High School and Gompers Elementary/Black Hawk Middle School, is tentatively scheduled for March 20, 2026. Save the date!
