Regular Board Meetings
Register to speak in person
In person registrations are welcomed at the monthly Regular meetings of the Board of Education. Come to the Doyle Administration building to register one hour in advance of a Regular Board of Education meeting, which starts at 6 p.m. Please park behind the Doyle Administration Building and enter through door #3, there will be a registration table outside of the McDaniel’s Auditorium where you can register. Once you are registered, please enter the auditorium, and take a seat until your name is called. Once your name is called you will have three minutes to give your public comment. Speakers are taken on a first come first served basis; registration ends once the meeting is called to order.
Register to speak virtually
Public input is also permitted virtually. To register to speak at a work group meeting, please fill out the registration information.
- THIS PORTAL WILL OPEN ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE MEETING START TIME.
- You will receive an invitation to attend our Zoom meeting shortly thereafter.
- You may want to give yourself a few moments to install the Zoom client and register an account if you plan to speak at a virtual meeting.
- You may also attend in your web browser by visiting https://zoom.us/join and entering the meeting ID provided.
- Once you have registered, you will get notification about how to access the meeting. You will be put into a silent waiting room until you are called to join the meeting and give your statement. Registrants will be given three minutes to speak and there will be a timer shared on the screen.
- Speakers will then be asked to wrap up their statement and can then leave the meeting.
Submit a written statement
See the process for registering to speak in person above, and fill out a written statement at the registration table. You are welcome to enter the auditorium and stay for the meeting.
Additionally, you can also register to provide a written statement to the Board of Education through an online portal. It would be helpful if your statement indicates your support or opposition to an agenda item for the meeting. This portal will be open for posting three days prior to the meeting.
Statements will be attached to the agenda for that meeting, and a summary will be read during the meeting by the board president or chair of the particular meeting.
