Madison Metropolitan School District

56th Annual MMSD Strings Festival

One of the oldest continuous public school music festivals in the country! Bringing together all of our 5-12 grade string players – from our beginners to our most advanced high school orchestras. It is a spectacle – hundreds of students performing together in a massed orchestra at each of our four high schools.

MMSD is proud to be one of the only districts that offer not only 5th grade strings for every student, but make an instrument available for every scholar who needs one.
