Board Unanimously Approves COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

During yesterday’s regular Board of Education meeting, the Board unanimously approved the staff vaccination plan. Based on the Board’s approval, all staff, including MSCR, formal partners, and community volunteers, are required to be fully vaccinated. To be fully vaccinated, one must have had two doses of Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

Staff will need to upload vaccination documentation via the district app, tentatively beginning the week of October 4. Staff can visit the staff vaccination web page for more information (log in with your b-number).

We know vaccination is one of the most effective mitigation strategies against COVID-19. By requiring COVID-19 vaccines for our staff, partners, and volunteers, MMSD will continue to promote equity as well as contribute to overall public health, limit transmission, and keep our community safe.
