Several schools in the Madison Metropolitan School District were named among the best in the state, according to rankings from the U.S. News & World Report and Stacker.

At the beginning of the 2023-24 school year, Capital High proudly opened its brand new school site. The new building brings together the school’s eastside and westside locations.

On Wednesday, La Follette High School hosted a first-of-its-kind roundtable discussion on the topic of school meals that featured members of the USDA, WI DPI, and State Assembly, as well as representatives from local non-profits, farms, and other state school districts.

MMSD will host a virtual presentation for current 8th graders as they prepare to transition to high school. Students and families can learn more about personalized high school opportunities for 9th grade as well as different programming options.
