Memorial received the Outstanding Musical Award for the second year in a row with "Something Rotten!" and La Follette's production of "Chicago: Teen Edition" earned students Spirit Awards.

Inspired by multiple hands-on, outdoor-focused science classes at Malcolm Shabazz City High, the senior wants to further their experience in restoration and wildlife work.
