Mother nature cannot stop construction progress at Southside Elementary School

Construction continues at Southside Elementary School despite the winter weather. On the exterior of the building, workers are framing the north side, installing the air/vapor barrier on the west side, and putting in the window frames on the south and west sides. Roofing work continues to push on as weather permits and temporary heating on the interior is allowing work to progress on schedule. Wall framing is nearly complete on the third floor and about 30 percent complete on the second floor. In addition, ductwork, plumbing piping, sprinkler piping, and electrical work are ongoing throughout the building.
