Construction Progress Has Heated Up!

Construction Progress Has Heated Up!

The summer rush is in full swing at East High School! With just over two months before students and staff return, crews are running full steam ahead to complete renovation work ahead of the 2023-24 academic year.

As demolition work draws to a close, crews are working together to begin building back walls, installing new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection infrastructure, and connecting the new cafeteria & music addition with the renovated spaces inside the building.

The welcome center expansion is a major part of the East High School renovation work this summer and will provide increased accessibility and improve traffic flow for visitors of the school.

Updates on Current Work

  • Work in the pool locker rooms is nearly complete as new plumbing fixtures, lockers and epoxy flooring have all been installed.
  • The new welcome center will soon take shape as structural steel is set to begin later this week!
