Wrapping up one phase, preparing for the next

Wrapping up one phase, preparing for the next

The current phase of lower-level locker room renovations is nearly complete, just in time for spring athletics to start up in the coming weeks. Next, construction will shift focus to the locker room renovations adjacent to the pool.

In the academic wing, final finishes are being installed in the science classrooms. Construction crews will then move to the second floor to begin renovation work in the career services and other supporting classrooms.

Updates on current work

  • Continuing exterior work, including installing windows, air and vapor barrier, and roofing
  • Installing final masonry veneer later this spring
  • Putting in new lights, cabinets, ceramic tile, doors, and flooring in the third-floor science classrooms and lower-level locker rooms
  • Wrapping up current renovation work before spring break and shifting to the final two renovation phases in advance of summer

DID YOU KNOW? Since construction started last spring at East High School, crews have painted over 21,000 sq. ft. of walls. This is equivalent to painting four Boeing 747 jumbo jets!
