Continuing Work on Building Renovations

The renovations at La Follette High School continue to move forward. The renovation work this fall has been primarily focused on the science classrooms and the library media center (LMC) space. In the science classrooms, construction crews poured concrete back into the trenches, cut spaces for new windows, and began installing drywall. In the LMC space, workers are wrapping up framing and mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEPF) work, and will soon begin installing drywall. Work continues in the open area under the LMC, known as ‘The Pit’, which will feature additional classrooms, offices, and workspaces for staff and students.
