New year, newly completed renovations
The LMC renovations have been completed and the space will be ready for the new semester
Updates on current work
- Poured concrete in the new gymnasium and weight room addition and proceeded with the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection work
- Continued exterior brick masonry work on the new gymnasium and weight room addition
- Started demolition and environmental work in the life skills area
- Installed new lighting in the hallways outside the bathrooms over the school’s winter break
Temporary heat and weather barriers were used in the gymnasium and weight room addition to allow the concrete to cure despite the cold and wet weather

Did you know?
Frigid winter weather conditions mean that additional planning and consideration are needed when pouring concrete. Temporary heat and weather barriers help maintain a temperature above 50 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-7 days to ensure the concrete can be poured, finished, and cured properly.
