We are committed to keeping you informed as we complete construction from the MMSD 2020 facilities referendum.

New year, newly completed renovations

As 2022 came to an end and the new year is underway, construction at La Follette High School also turns over a new page. The science classroom renovations are complete and ready for instruction. Construction activity in “The Pit” infill wrapped up, which provides new offices and lounges for staff and several new classrooms. Above “The Pit”, the library media center (LMC) renovation work is also complete. The freshly renovated space will provide new areas, such as the makerspace, where students can be creative and work on projects in a collaborative, hands- on learning environment.

Did you know?

Frigid winter weather conditions mean that additional planning and consideration are needed when pouring concrete. Temporary heat and weather barriers help maintain a temperature above 50 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-7 days to ensure the concrete can be poured, finished, and cured properly.
