Preparing for a new phase

Preparing for a new phase

As spring approaches, Findorff is preparing to begin two new phases of construction. Demolition for the north locker rooms and main entrance addition will begin in mid to late March, with construction beginning in April. At the same time, construction is ongoing in the new gymnasium, the concession stand area, the new health sciences, interior and fashion design, childcare, and kitchen/life skills classrooms.

Planning for summer phases has also started. Construction crews will be all hands on deck this spring and summer, beginning and completing work in five new phases before classes resume in the fall of 2023.

Updates on current and upcoming work

  • Installing athletic equipment in the new gymnasium
  • Putting up drywall in the new lobby and concessions area in preparation for finishes
  • Framing walls and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
  • (MEP) work are in progress in the new classrooms
  • Starting work on the north locker room and main entrance addition this month
  • Installing wood flooring in the new gym later this month

DID YOU KNOW? Once complete, the new secure main entrance addition will include a reception desk, nurses’ offices, the principal’s office, conference rooms, flex space, and a mail alcove. This new entrance will connect to an area that opens into the commons and cafeteria spaces, providing a bright and welcoming atmosphere for students and staff.
