The newly completed Performing Arts Center (PAC) has hosted several school events and students use this space almost daily.
Construction crews are working hard to wrap up technical education wing renovations this week. After months of construction in this area, staff and students are excited to start using the new space.
Workers have also made remarkable progress on the final phase of renovations at La Follette High School. This work is scheduled to be completed at the end of July.
Upcoming work in the final phase of renovations
- Installing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) finishes
- Putting on the first coat of paint
- Installing ceiling grid and flooring
DID YOU KNOW? The final phase of renovations at La Follette High School includes five classrooms, a Grad Academy, bathrooms, small group instruction, home support spaces, and a couple of offices.
MEPF crews are working alongside the framing and drywall crews, which allows work on finishes to start sooner
The technical education wing renovations include a new hybrid cyclone dust collector for the wood shop
The Performing Arts Center is now complete and has held several performances
The nicer weather allowed crews to work on new exterior landscaping
The infiltration basin has been reworked and this area has been seeded
