Getting Ready for the New School Year!

Getting Ready for the New School Year!

We are excited to share that we received the certificate of occupancy for Southside Elementary School! Crews on site are putting the finishing touches on the space as things wind down. Furniture is being set up throughout the building and items from the existing school are being moved in.

On the exterior, the site work is nearly complete. Landscaping is about 65% complete and should be just about wrapped up when school starts. A fence will be installed around the playground area once the playground equipment is set up.

A big shout-out to the entire team from all involved parties for the long hours, hard work, and dedication to make this project a reality!

Upcoming items:

  • Finishing up work on the south addition
  • Touching up paint, completing final punch-list items, and cleaning spaces
  • Wrapping up landscaping
  • Installing playground equipment and fencing

DID YOU KNOW? The large curtainwall window on the building uses a special type of glass called “bird-safe glass,” which is specifically designed with a dotted pattern to make the glass visible to birds and help avoid collisions.
