Construction continues in many spaces around Memorial High School. In the pool locker rooms, crews finished the concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls and started on the interior finishes. Workers are painting, installing the ceiling grid, and wrapping up the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work. In the pool area, painting is complete, and ceramic tile will be installed soon.
The door and window frames were installed in the strength and fitness center. In the adjacent trainer’s room, demolition is complete, and crews will start on the finishes in the coming weeks.
The new maker’s space in the south library media center (LMC) was framed and the in-wall MEP work is complete. The new maker’s space will give students hands-on instruction in areas such as 3D printing and electronics. Demolition continues in the north LMC and will be complete in the coming weeks.
