Pool area renovations are well underway

The current phase of construction includes renovations in the pool, locker rooms, a physical education office, a strength and fitness room, a wellness room, and the athletic trainer’s room.

The pool area will receive an upgraded heating, ventilation,and air conditioning (HVAC) system, lighting, sprinklers,ceiling, ceramic tile floors and walls, paint, acoustic wall panels, and new pool drains.

Demolition is complete in the new strength and fitness room and the athletic trainer’s room. Crews are doing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) work and framing in these spaces. New underground plumbing, flooring, walls, and lockers will be installed in the locker rooms.

Upcoming construction activity

  • Doing framing, drywall, and MEPF work in the weight room
  • Pouring concrete, installing concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls, and continuing MEPF work in the pool area and locker rooms
  • Starting demolition in the library media center (LMC)

Did You Know? The new strength and fitness room will triple in size after the renovations are complete. The original first-floor weight room was 1,700 square feet, while the new and improved strength and fitness room expanded into other spaces, bringing the new area to over 5,000 square feet.

The revamped Mansfield Stadium locker rooms and bathrooms were complete for the first event last Friday
