As areas inside the school are nearing completion, the focus will shift to the renovation and addition outside Mansfield Stadium. Later this fall, after soccer and football seasons are complete, crews will begin renovating the existing locker rooms and working on the new concessions and ticketing area for the stadium entrance. The locker rooms are scheduled to be completed in time for spring sports.
Inside the school, the auditorium and small theater are now complete. The new commons space remains under construction until the end of the semester. Currently, in the commons, crews are installing ductwork, electrical, and fire protection systems. The roofing and windows are complete, and drywalling and painting have begun.
Site work for the season is now complete. The remainder of the site work will take place in the spring and summer of 2024.
Updates on recent work:
- Completed work in the auditorium, planetarium, and Assistant Principals’ offices
- Nearly finished with the carpeting in the small theater
- Will begin work on the locker rooms and concessions area in early November
DID YOU KNOW? New ADA-compliant ramps will be included as part of the upcoming locker room and concession/entry renovation at Mansfield Stadium. Two new aluminum ramps will replace the existing concrete ramps to align with current ADA regulations and ensure accessibility.
Stage sets were in place in the auditorium for the first performance on October 19.
In the commons, ductwork, drywall, taping, and painting are underway.
The carpet will be installed, and the final touches will be wrapped up in the small theater (Theater 300).
The bathrooms adjacent to the pool area are complete with final fixtures.
Carpet and railings were installed in the newly renovated auditorium.
