Progress continues on the new pool with final inspections beginning next week.
The structural steel and concrete on the new elevator addition will be complete by the end of this week, and work on the enclosure will begin next week.
Crews are installing the brick on the Ash Street welcome center and the enclosure will be finished next week. Next, site work, landscaping, and interior finishes will begin.
Construction work is complete in the new gym, first-floor lockers/fitness rooms, administrative offices, cafeteria, second-floor classrooms, and library.
Upcoming construction activity
- Continuing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) work
- Starting demolition and pouring the concrete for the ramp to the welcome center
Did you know: The new competition pool holds a total of 364,075 gallons of water. The total weight of that water is 3,036,386 lbs., which is equivalent to nearly seven times the weight of the Statue of Liberty!
The weight room renovations are complete!
The brick work on the Welcome Center will be finished within the next week.
A portion of the flooring in the second-floor classrooms will be removed and a new ramp will be installed from the corridor to the welcome center.
