The newly renovated theater is nearly complete. Workers finished installing new seating, wall coverings, carpeting, ceiling, and lighting. Work on the stage is also wrapping up, which includes final electrical wiring and installing the curtains. In addition, new flooring is being installed in the corridors surrounding the theater.
On the first floor, crews started demolition in the classrooms. Concrete has been poured and new walls have been framed in the bathrooms. Once the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) work is complete, workers will begin installing drywall and taping.
The new elevator that provides access to the fourth-floor classrooms is nearly complete. Crews wrapped up the exterior brickwork in that area and removed the scaffolding.

DID YOU KNOW? In the newly remodeled theater, the old seats were removed and replaced with new seats. Over the past few weeks, crews installed roughly 600 seats on the main floor with another 300 on the balcony. This space now has enough seats to host the 2024 West High School graduating class, with seats left over!
