The first concrete pour took place last week in the new pool addition. Workers are continuing to install reinforcing bar on the base and the walls of the pool and are preparing to pour the remaining concrete. The structural steel teams have finished decking on the gym roof. Meanwhile, roofing workers completed the rubber roof above the pool area and are currently working on the lower roof on Regent Street.
Crews continue installing air and vapor barrier (blue spray and wrapping) on the exterior of the building over the
concrete blocks. Window installation has also begun on the north side of the new additions.

DID YOU KNOW? The existing pool at West High School was drained and construction crews are using a high-density foam to fill it in. Once the foam is in place, concrete will be poured on top to create a safe and
level floor, which will serve as the base for future classrooms.
