Summer School is the perfect time for your student to build confidence in a smaller class setting and develop their academic skills in preparation for the next grade level. Congratulations to Wright Middle School. The school’s team won the annual African-American History Challenge Bowl for 2017. The educational, African-American history competition took place between teams of Madison middle school students in a quiz show format.
The event is produced by 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. Wright’s team advances to the National Competition taking place June 7-10, 2017 in New Orleans, LA.
Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is holding free family nights on Fridays, April 21 and April 28, 6-8 pm. The events feature face painting, youth performances, community resource booths, fitness demos, photo booth fun, book giveaways, prizes, dinner and these fun MSCR opportunities - rock climbing, FIT2GO and Art Cart. All activities, including dinner, are free.
