As you might imagine last spring allowed both the instructional technology and technical service departments to reevaluate the student experience on district-issued devices. We wanted to take the time to inform you of a major change that will impact the way students sign into the district-issued devices.

As you are aware, ClassLink is the district Single Sign-On (SSO) platform. Starting this school year, we will totally integrate both students and staff into this platform. Moving forward Classlink will allow all stakeholders to access all of the district's curriculum/resource sites that are SSO. This change allows the user to only log into Classlink versus multiple platforms moving forward.

When logging into school-issued Chromebooks, each student will now need to use their 6 digit MMSD student ID# as their account username, and their current MMSD account password versus using their email address in previous school years. Please know that the password will remain the same.
Once logged in to ClassLink, the Dashboard of application icons will be the default web page. These icons include essential software such as G Suite tools like Google Docs, Sheets, Classroom, Gmail, and a host of other instructional software programs. To use these icons, a student just needs to click onto the icon and they will automatically be logged into that application.

Lastly, last spring forced us to realize the need to have 4K students in our domain, so this school year all 4K students will also need to log in with their student IDs to access Classlink as well.

To access ClassLink Launchpad from a non-MMSD issued device, a student would go to:

Please know that these changes will be made as of August 17th, 2020.
