CTE in Middle School

Career and Technical Education (CTE)  prepares students to be college, career, and community-ready by providing integrated core academics within rigorous and relevant curriculum, employability skills, as well as technical and career-specific skills. At the middle school level, MMSD CTE programs offer hands-on learning, practical experiences, and the foundational skills and knowledge necessary for success in high school and beyond.

In each middle school CTE course, students learn content-specific skills and essential career-readiness practices such as problem-solving, team collaboration, effective communication, and networking with industry partners. These skills are not only valuable for Success in CTE and ALL other content areas.
