Bridging Classrooms and Careers: MMSD Internship Hub
Meaningful careers start with a single opportunity. Guided by the Wisconsin Career-Based Learning (CBLE) framework, our mission is to connect MMSD students with high-quality Work-Based Learning (WBL) experiences—both within our District Central Office and throughout the broader Madison community.
For students, this hub is a gateway to explore internships that align with their Academic and Career Planning (ACP) goals. These experiences allow you to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world challenges in industries or career fields you are interested in.
To ensure every placement is valuable, we vet our opportunities against the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s quality standards. A true WBL experience offers:
- Sustained, Authentic Work: Real tasks in real professional environments.
- Mentorship: Direct guidance from industry professionals who help students build "employability skills."
- Educational Credit: Experiences that bridge the gap between graduation requirements and career aspirations.
Our mission is to connect MMSD students with high-quality Work-Based Learning (WBL) experiences—both within our District Central Office and throughout the broader Madison community.

Partner With Us
We invite local businesses and community organizations to join our network. By hosting an intern, you aren't just filling a summer role; you are shaping Madison’s future workforce and gaining fresh perspectives from our talented students.
Our team provides the structure—from training agreements to supervisor support—to ensure the partnership is seamless and successful.
