Lake View Community School hosts "Bucky's Big Event"

On Friday, September 1st, Lake View Community School hosted a group of University of Wisconsin-Madison student volunteers with Bucky's Big Event, a university-wide service event where students have the opportunity to explore volunteering interests and develop their passion for giving back to the community. These volunteers helped maintain the outdoor classroom with our Outdoor Classroom Coordinator, Mr. K, by weeding native plant beds and mulching the walking paths in the school forest. Volunteer support is vital for the preservation of the three acres of natural land that surround Lake View so that our students, staff, families and community members can learn, teach, play, and relax during and outside of school.
