Lake View's Walking School Bus Improves Student Attendance Rates

Four years ago, Lake View Elementary implemented creative solution to try to improve student attendance rates by creating a "Walking School Bus," and are seeing results. Community partners and staff have played a crucial role in making this effort possible. This initiative is particularly helpful for families who immigrated to Wisconsin and have limited resources. For them, the school bus is the only safe way to transport their kids to school.
