Virtual Celebration 2022
2022 Read Your Heart Out Virtual Celebration
Eighteen years strong, Read Your Heart Out is back this February bringing Black families and community members together through live and recorded readings for MMSD students. In celebration of National African American Parent Involvement Day, schools across the district will participate in RYHO all month long.
Watch this year's Read Your Heart Out Virtual Kick-off Celebration - a special event featuring a live virtual reading by Superintendent Dr. Carlton Jenkins, MMSD scholars singing "Lift Every Voice and Sing", and a welcome from Ms. Carolyn Stanford-Taylor, Assistant Superintendent of Engagement, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Please also check out a short video of our very own MMSD scholars sharing words of wisdom from African American leaders.

THANK YOU!
MMSD's Family, Youth and Community Engagement Department would like to thank all of the members of the 2022 Read Your Heart Committee for making this first virtual celebration a huge success. We know what a huge effort it took to make this event come together and we appreciate your commitment to our MMSD school community. This virtual event was a wonderful experience and we could not have done it without you.
