Children’s Theater of Madison (CTM) is a Wisconsin nonprofit organization and a Theater for Young Audiences (TYA) company. Since 1965, CTM has been a part of the cultural fabric of South Central Wisconsin, providing exceptional theater productions and educational programs for youth and families. CueThe608: Youth Artist Internship: CueThe608 is committed to youth development through urban arts, creative placemaking, and professional opportunities.  Coached and mentored by MMSD’s Artist-in-Residence, Dawry Ruiz (DARS).

Program Description:

Youth artists will experience art in a professional and youth-led setting. The Artist Interns will focus on creating, performing, and collaborating on new original art.  CueThe608 focuses on urban arts mediums, including, but not limited to, Rap, Music Production, Dance, Poetry, Visual Arts, video, and more. They will represent MMSD and the city of Madison by showcasing and presenting across multiple locations in Madison and the United States. Paid Stipends and paid opportunities are available for students throughout and at the end of the summer.

We intentionally unite modern, classical, American, and African American traditions while delivering strong technical and formal training. Our primary focus is serving youth from minority communities, ensuring access, representation, and excellence in the performing arts.

This 2026 summer program is a 6-week intensive experience running from June 30th to August 11th. This year, we are placing a high focus on dance, acting, and character building, helping students develop both as performers and as confident individuals.

School of Madison Ballet (SMB) is one of the most highly respected dance schools in the Midwest, with classes for all ages, from beginners to pre-professional. SMB provides an unprecedented opportunity to young people, who gain the confidence, discipline, and fundamental life skills inherent in the study of ballet. 

Program Description:
An exploratory program for students with no ballet experience, designed to learn  technical skills and build stamina, with a focus on individual development. Students develop their musicality, with a unique focus on the connection between music and movement.

Madison Youth Choirs - Mission is to inspire youth with a choir experience that fosters creativity, reflection, and the exploration of ideas, in an atmosphere of joy

Program Description:
MYC is excited to welcome students to the joy of singing in community this summer! No prior experience needed--all are welcome! Just bring a desire to sing, learn, and grow together while exploring the magic when voices come together. Introductory Choir is for ages 7 through 4th grade and Summer Choir for current 5th through 8th grade (rising 6th-9th grade).
