Majorettes

Have you ever seen the majorettes performing with marching band programs? These dancers use batons to create performances in dance, movement, or gymnastics; they are often seen performing with marching bands during parades, creating illusions, doing cartwheels, and flips, sometimes twirling up to four batons at a time. Students will work with local programs in hip hop, ballet, and specialized majorette styles to prepare for potential connection to marching band programs.

This course offering is available for ages 5-18 or K-12.

  • Location: Partner site (transportation provided from East/West Arts Hubs)
  • Days: Tuesday & Thursday
  • Dates: June 20-July 29 (weeks 1-6)
  • Sessions: Full PM Session 1:00-3:45
  • Note: The class capacity is 25 students.
