Develop and create the sound design, lighting, props, and scenic elements to support a live licensed Musical Theatre production this summer!
Some of the most outstanding Theatre artists may have no interest in performing onstage - Technical Theatre artists use a wide spectrum of skills that are developed when producing a piece of musical theater, including: critical thinking, problem solving, team communication, and storytelling through sound, light and built objects.
In addition to tech skills, students will visit local professional scene shops, performance venues, and theater industry organizations, and work with teachers experienced and trained through partnerships with Overture Center for the Arts and local professional theatre companies in a special opportunity to help create the live magic of a performance for families in the final week of class.
