Summer Semester 2022

Dear Madison School District Families,

MMSD is committed to ensuring every student in our school community feels engaged, connected and supported! One way we ensure that this happens is by making sure students have the knowledge and skills for academic achievement at the next grade level. Summer Semester is a learning support for students who meet criteria and will use summer learning to stay on track for graduation to become college, career and community ready.

As we continue to navigate the pandemic, we recognize that many of our students have missed instruction which highlights the need for high quality, targeted instruction for students who need it the most beyond the regular school year. This summer we will focus on students who are in critical transitions and ensure credit recovery for our high school students by providing high quality instruction during a six-week program for 4K-12 grade students. See below for additional information.

  • Engage students in high-quality instruction that is targeted to accelerate growth in key skills so that students finish Summer Semester better prepared for the upcoming school year

  • Provide students the opportunity for credit recovery to stay on track for graduation

  • Support the transition from 4K to 5K, 5th to 6th, and 8th to 9th

Please report all absences to your student's summer semester location.
