How to donate to the Child Nutrition Assistance Fund
The Madison Public Schools Foundation works closely with MMSD to ensure that all schools are meeting the needs of our students. The Child Nutrition Assistance Fund helps district families that are struggling to pay their meal account balance. If you are interested in donating to a specific school, please call us at (608)204-4000. Thank you for your generosity. Families that have received donations have been very appreciative of the support.
How to request a refund from your student's account
A balance can be refunded if a student is leaving the district, graduation, status change or account is inactive. To request a refund, please email Linda Hang, lhang@madison.k12.wi.us, including the information below;
- Parent/guardian's name
- Student's full name
- Current address
Once your refund request has been sent, you will receive a confirmation email. Information will be sent to the District's Accounting Department and they will issue a check and send in the US Mail. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Food & Nutrition office at (608) 2024-4001
How to request a transfer of funds from one student account to another
At any time a transfer of funds can be requested. The reason for a transfer can be to cover a sibling's negative balance, move hardly used funds to another student/sibling or to correct a deposit. To request a transfer, please email Linda Hang, lhang@madison.k12.wi.us, including the information below;
- Parent/guardian's name
- Student's full name to remove funds from
- Student's full name for the transfer deposit to
- The total dollar amount for the transfer.
