What's New?
New Freshmen GPA Requirements
Incoming freshmen can now become NAIA eligible without a test score or class rank provided they meet the following minimum GPA (on a 4.0 scale):
- 2.3 GPA for recent graduates
- 2.8 GPA for students who have completed their 7th semester
- 3.3 GPA for students who have completed their junior year
Students who do not meet the 2.3 minimum GPA upon graduation may still gain eligibility by meeting two of the following three criteria:
- 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
- Rank in top 50% of graduating class
- Qualifying test score:
- ACT: 18
- SAT: 970 (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math)
As of May 1, senior mid-year transcripts are no longer accepted for graduating seniors. A senior final-year transcript must be uploaded for these students.
Managing Your HS Portal
-
During the month of May, your school profile is open for editing.
-
Users listed as “HS Administrators” in the portal have access to add/approve/remove other users at all times.
-
If users are leaving or retiring at the end of the academic year, please remove them and add new users, if applicable. Please keep your users list up-to-date to avoid delays in providing students with the necessary documentation.
Information on Credit Recovery
-
Credit recovery is accepted in the NAIA for eligibility purposes. We only look at the GPA and potential class rank on the high school transcript. We do not look at individual courses.
General Transcript Policies
-
We require that high school transcripts be uploaded through the NAIA High School Portal. The portal guide can be found here.
-
Students must complete their profile before the transcript request will appear in the portal. If there is no option to send a transcript, please confirm with the student that they have finished completing their profile.
-
Transcripts via Parchment, email or physical mail.
