Dear Black Hawk Middle School Community,
I am honored to join Black Hawk Middle School this year as interim principal, and showcase the amazing students, families, and staff that make up our community. In this leadership role, I strive to provide consistency, high expectations, and rigor to move Black Hawk Middle School forward, while also focusing on building strong relationships within the school community.
I graduated from La Follette High School, and have been with the Madison Metropolitan School District throughout my 26-year career. I have served in a variety of roles in the district, including principal, and assistant superintendent for elementary education. While I officially retired in summer 2022, my passion toward our school communities continues to bring me back, and I have continued to support MMSD as a temporary principal designee when administrators throughout the district took leaves.
I'm looking forward to connecting with our community!

The Madison Metropolitan School District is the second largest school district in Wisconsin and serves over 27,000 students in 52 schools. The district covers approximately 74 square miles including all or part of the cities of Madison and Fitchburg.
