A Message from Superintendent Carlton D. Jenkins

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

This year, we look forward to once again partnering with our MMSD community to co-create a more dynamic future. We celebrate the talent and promise of our scholars (and families), and are so happy to see our scholars return to our classrooms.

As we reflect on the possibilities associated with a new school year, we must acknowledge how far our community has traveled together over the past 30 months in a global pandemic. Despite these challenges, we are still building momentum for a breakthrough on our journey toward unlocking the infinite potential of our scholars, staff, families, and community.

We will continue to take bold steps to ensure all of our learning spaces are places where our students, staff, and families thrive. We will continue to uplift equity, humanity, and anti-racism, to ensure MMSD is a welcoming place for all.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership, and once again, welcome to the new school year!

Sincerely,

Carlton D. Jenkins, Ph.D.
Superintendent
Madison Metropolitan School District
