Each employee who is required to be licensed or certified by law must provide the District with a copy of the current license or certificate to be maintained in his or her personnel file. Personnel files are maintained by the Department of Human Resources. Employees are expected to know the expiration date of their license/certification and meet the requirements for re-licensure or certification in a timely manner. Failure to maintain the required licensure/certification may lead to the voiding of the staff member’s contract and/or termination of employment. A teaching contract with any person not legally authorized to teach the named subject or at the named school shall be void. All teaching contracts shall terminate if, and when, the authority to teach terminates.
