The resignation of an employee should be made via the Human Resource’s District Notice of Resignation/Retirement website. The sum referenced below is a reasonable estimate of the actual damages caused by late resignation, and shall be accordingly assessed to the employee:

Resignation after the last day of the school year or the date that individual contracts are due, whichever is later, $400.

Resignation after July 1, $450.

Resignation after August 1 through the subsequent school year, $500.

Any teacher who resigns without providing at least 30 days written notice prior to the next scheduled day of work (including paid voluntary attendance days) shall be assessed an additional $ 100.

The liquidated damages will be deducted from the employee’s last paycheck(s).

The District has the discretion to waive the resignation fee in extenuating circumstances.
