4.1 Length of Probationary Period
All employees shall be on probation for the first six (6) months of employment. For each probationary week in which such probationary employee works less than one half (1/2) of his/ her regularly scheduled hours of work there shall be added seven (7) calendar days to the probationary period. Any employee who has not received written notice of termination prior to the completion of his/her probationary period shall be considered to have completed his/her probationary period. Probationary employees shall have all of the rights provided herein except the right to grieve any disciplinary action including release from employment. Probationary status may be extended by mutual agreement of the employee and the District.
