Why a New Digital Learning Plan

Over a decade ago, MMSD established the Ignite Plan to integrate digital tools across our schools. To build on that foundation, we are aligning our digital learning plan with our new strategic vision, MMSD: Excellence Together. Our updated digital learning plan aims to:

• Align with District Goals: Reflect our current instructional priorities and community values.
• Address Modern Challenges: Provide clear guidance on emerging technology, including AI integration and healthy screen time practices.

About the Process

The Digital Learning Roadmap will be created through a collaborative, transparent process involving a coalition of educators, families, students, and community partners. The coalition will utilize a situational awareness protocol to collect data, assess priorities, and formulate strategies. Each phase of the process will help build an intentional and comprehensive plan that reflects the concerns of our community.
