On Monday, March 20 Principal Pam Wilson received the 2017 Wisconsin Educational Media & Technology Association (WEMTA) Administrator of the Year Award. Ms. Wilson was nominated the award by Marquette LMTS Maegan Heindel. The award is given by the Wisconsin Media and Technology Association each year to an administrator whose support has impacted a school library program. Pam Wilson has been a passionate supporter of the Marquette Library program, championing initiatives and taking an active role in library events. In the last three years, Ms. Wilson and Ms. Heindel have partnered closely to embed and model instructional technology in each staff PD, ensuring that teachers experienced instructional technology tools in a meaningful context. This has set up our school for much success and readiness as a G3 school. The pair presented together at the WEMTA Conference in 2015 about their PD planning. Ms. Wilson's support has enabled the growth and development of a robust library program at Marquette. Congratulations to Pam on receiving this honor and thank you for your support of school libraries!
