DLI Enrollment and Lottery Information
The Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program is open to all MMSD students; however, it is only available at the schools and grade levels listed below. DLI is elective and has a lottery process for admittance. Parents/guardians must complete an online application to be considered for participation in the program. Completing an application does not guarantee that your child will be admitted to the program. Please read the information on this page carefully.

The Wisconsin public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their student to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. The Dual Language Immersion program is also available to students outside the MMSD school district. If you are not a current MMSD family and would like to apply, please contact the enrollment office at 608-663-4957 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you need assistance, please call the Multilingual Programs and Services/State and Federal Programs Department at (608) 663-1501 or (608) 663-5247. You can also contact your school secretary. School phone numbers can be found here.
Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend a DLI Parent Informational Session. It is very important that parents/guardians understand the goals of the DLI program and understand that by enrolling your child in DLI, you are committing to keeping your student in DLI (to the best of your ability) through at least 8th grade, minimally, due to the length of time it takes to learn a second language.
