During February´s edition of ¿Qué pasa en nuestras escuelas? Josh Perkins, MMSD´s Director of Food and Nutrition, talked about the new pilot program launched at Nuestro Mundo to offer fresh cooked meals to elementary school students twice a week; Esmie Ambriz, Teacher Leader for 4K, shared information about the 4K enrollment process for the 2024-2025 school year; and Alejandra Yaquian, Multilingual Programs and Services Coordinator, came with a special teacher guest from Leopold elementary, Otoniel Carrasquel, who shared his journey and experience of becoming bilingual and a teacher in South America.

About ¿Qué pasa en nuestras escuelas? Radio Show

A Spanish-language radio show offered by the Madison Metropolitan School District so that Latino families can speak with specialists and learn how they can participate more actively in their child's education. The third Thursday of every month from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the air on La Movida 1480 AM / 94.5 FM.  Participate during the show by calling 608-321-1480 or sending a text message to 60193. If you're unable to call during the show, you're welcome to submit your question or comment ahead of time, using the form on this page, and, time-permitting, we'll read and answer it on the air.
