Olbrich Botanical Gardens still has openings for your classroom to experience the Explorer School Programs. Programs are 90-minutes each, starting at 10am or 12:30pm, Tuesdays through Thursdays (see specific dates below). Add on a self-guided garden exploration and spend the whole day!

Explorer School Programs – Winter 2016-2017 (Grades K-3)

•       Tropical Explorer School Program

January 31 - February 23, 2017 (Registration Deadline: January 24, 2017)
Investigate the diverse world of the tropical rainforest.  Discover what makes a rainforest unique, what products come from the tropical rainforest, and go on a scavenger hunt through the Bolz Conservatory.

Program Days and Times

Each 90-minute program is available Tuesday through Thursday during the dates listed per program. You may select either 10-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-2 p.m.

Group Size, Fees, and Chaperones

Maximum group size is 50 students. Each Explorer School Program is $2.50 per student. One adult chaperone per 8 students is required, and these adults are admitted free. Each additional adult chaperone will be admitted at the $2.50 student rate. Minimum charge for each participating school group is $50. A non-refundable $50 deposit per session is due upon registering.

Groups with less than 20 students may be combined with another small group for the introduction but will otherwise do the program with just their own school/group.
