MSCR, a department of the Madison School District, held the annual Metro High School Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 4 at East High School. Twenty teams from East, La Follette, Memorial and West High Schools participated in the event. The Metro League is for 11 & 12th grade high school boys who are not playing WIAA basketball but enjoy playing with other classmates and are looking for fun activities to do after school. Teams practice at least once a week after school and play games every Saturday, January through early March. MSCR High School Recreation Specialists organize teams at each high school. An Intermediate League for boys in grades 9-10 took place earlier this winter.
MSCR has offered High School Basketball Leagues since 2005. Basketball is just one of many MSCR after school sports, clubs and programs. Please visit www.mscr.org or call 204-3000 for more information. MSCR, is a public recreation department serving the community since 1926.
