Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 3:00pm

On Sunday, May 21, hundreds of kids and their family members will attend REAP’s third annual Family Food Fest at Lincoln Elementary School from 11am - 2pm.

Over 30 local organizations will offer fun games, art projects, samples and educational activities about healthy eating, active living, how food grows, and more. Food carts will sell delicious lunch options for $5 or less, and the first 200 attendees will receive a voucher for a free food cart dish. There will also be a bike rodeo with bike tune-ups, ¼ mile challenge, and live performances from a variety of Madison-based student groups will take place throughout the day.

The event highlights the local community and kids, including performances by the Lincoln Elementary Mexican Folkloric and Nepali Dance Groups, West High’s Majestic Hip Hop Group, The Midnight Voices acapella group and Foundry Soul Band and Slag from community partner Madison Music Foundry. Bucky Badger will make a guest appearance at noon.

The event runs from 11-2 pm on the playground and field behind the school at 909 Sequoia Trail in Madison (or inside the gym in case of inclement weather).
