Schools of Hope Tutor Training
The Schools of Hope Project is a unique collaboration of the Madison Metropolitan School District, the United Way of Dane County and Centro Hispano, with the participation of the Sun Prairie and Middleton school districts. Its mission is to work with school staff to increase the academic performance of students of color and those from low-income families.
Tutors work with students in one-on-one and one-on-two settings under the direction of the classroom teacher. Tutors work with the same student(s) weekly and are able to forge relationships with students and see their progress throughout the year.
