The Stars of Summer - May Public Program
Join us to learn about the stars and constellations of the summer sky and how to use a beginner's telescope.
The Madison Metropolitan School District Planetarium (MMSD Planetarium) provides immersive experiences for groups and public audiences bringing out-of-this-world concepts down to Earth. The planetarium is a field trip destination for explorers of all ages.
In this multi-media theater, we can simulate the day and night sky on our domed ceiling to explore a vast array of concepts related to astronomy, space exploration and other STEAM topics.
Group programs are offered during the school day, with a very limited number of after school and evening programs that may be scheduled as well.
Public programs are offered on a monthly basis, in the evenings, throughout the school year.
The planetarium also offers a telescope loan program.
Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon 50th Anniversary FULLDOME Program comes to the planetarium! Tickets on sale now!!
