Friends of the MMSD Planetarium

The "FRIENDS OF" program is under review by the district... so for now consider the benefit as being a solid supporter of the MMSD Planetarium with your donations. 

Support the MMSD Planetarium, become a "Friend"!

Purpose:

To support the Madison Metropolitan School District Planetarium and its mission to educate and inspire people of all ages in areas of astronomy and science. The Friends of the Planetarium is a community of people interested in directly supporting the work of the planetarium. All donations go toward improving the planetarium’s ability to carry out its mission. In return, "Friends" are invited to special events.

Essential updates in the planetarium:

ACCOMPLISHED (Thank You!):  We couldn't have done them without you!

  • Comfortable seats
  • Digital full-dome video projection system
  • Cove and baseboard lighting systems

Yet to be accomplished, we need your help!

  • Acoustical wall coverings
  • Hearing loop system
  • RGB laser projectors

Donation Amounts:

  • $10 - student
  • $25 - individual
  • $50 - family (immediate family members)
  • ANY AMOUNT... Larger donations are greatly appreciated... they support our mission and updates to the planetarium!
