Our Amazing Moon Resources
Below are some helpful resources for exploring more about our amazing Moon! These are the resources that were mentioned in the October, 2015 public shows.
- Apollo Image Gallery: extensive gallery with short descriptions, but the user interface isn't as helpful.
- Flickr Gallery: Project Apollo Archive: thousands of photos in a great user interface, but no descriptions.
- Project Apollo Facebook Archive: amazing, growing collection of newly processed images, with descriptions. Highly recommended if you are on Facebook.
- Experience the Apollo 11 moon landing in a cool way: video of the full landing with a moving highlighted script of what the astronauts and Mission Control are saying. Exciting format!
- CBS Coverage of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing: (YouTube video; warning, written visitor comments on YouTube videos are often inappropriate for children)
- Apollo 11 EVA (extravehicular activity): full video of the 2.5 hour spacewalk on the Moon
